Scope

This policy covers how we process personal data in the Kidio mobile app and related services.

Data We Collect

Account Data (parent/guardian): name, email, password (hashed). Legal bases: contract (account), legitimate interests (security/fraud), legal obligation (billing/tax), consent (marketing emails).
Anonymous Usage Metrics: aggregated views/likes, not linked to accounts.
Payments: processed by third parties; we do not store card numbers.

Purposes of Use

Deliver service, manage accounts, support, security and fraud monitoring.
Billing and purchase confirmations.
Optional marketing emails only with your consent.
Product improvement using anonymous metrics.

Advertising & Tracking

Child‑directed setup; only contextual ads; no personalized advertising, remarketing or cross‑app tracking.
We do not sell or share personal data (CPRA definitions).

Cookies and Local Storage

Only strictly necessary storage for session and preferences. No optional cookies.

Account data is kept while your account is active; deleted within 30 days after a deletion request. Anonymous metrics are not affected by deletion.

Access, rectify, delete, restrict, object (where applicable), portability, withdraw consent, and complain to a data protection authority. Use Settings or email info@kidioapp.com.

Children’s Privacy

Designed for ages 0–8. We do not collect data directly from children. Access is via the parent/guardian account and requires parental consent (checkbox + email verification).

Security

Industry‑standard encryption and access controls; regular audits; breach notifications per law.

Changes

We may update this policy; changes will be published with the “Last Updated” date. If you do not accept, stop using the service and delete your account.
